Here’s another flawless slow burner from Rocco Raimundo. Daytime disco at its finest! Hope this one sees a release soon.

Like a Virgin, Except Almost 30 Years Later

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

Uh Oh Disco’s Questions premiered his remix of Madonna’s 1984 single “Like a Virgin” this past Saturday on KCRW (thanks to Valida!) to some pretty positive feedback. If you’re one of the people who thought Madonna couldn’t possibly sound creepy, you might want to guess again, because this one comes out of left field… it really is amazing what a vocoder can do.

Tomorrow

Fifteenth’s “Tomorrow” is quite the nu-disco house jam. Out now on Beatport.

Getting plays from the likes of A-Trak (& Duck Sauce), Classixx, Treasure Fingers, and more.

I Want You

Knightlife’s new EP is one of the best releases this year. I’m really feeling the title track. We posted “Serves You Right” so you all know that by now, but the Emperor Machine remix on the album shreds.

Manolo

Monday, November 28th, 2011

Manolo rules. It’s another alias of Roberto Rodriquez, who kills it with the deep house vibez. I love “Night Rhythm”, but the dub version is even better. It seems like this project of his is more disco infused than his deeper material, and he pulls it off really well. It has the same feel as some of the Cutters releases earlier this year.

This EP came out late last month on Dikso Records and if you like it, you’ll have to order the 12”.
