Remember when Flaires put out Trucker’s Delight? (If you don’t, it’s obviously because you never saw the music video, but that’s another story. That track was one that was never meant to end. I mean, there is a lot of good music out there, and there are certainly tracks out the equally as good as trucker’s delight, but the difference is that most songs are simply built for an ending. That is, they take you from the beginning, over a hill, and to the end, and it would feel weird and unsatisfying if it didn’t happen that way. But Trucker’s Delight was different. I remember hearing that for the first time, legitimately hoping that the song would keep playing forever. And no, I’m not saying I wanted more parts to be added or subtracted or anything new to develop; Nope, I just wanted to keep hearing those same sounds over and over again, forever. Where other tracks would leave me feeling ripped off without an ending, this one felt incomplete with one.
It’s not often that this type of music comes around (and it’s an even rarer occurrence when it happens outside the progressive house genre), but today I’ve (finally) been lucky enough to have stumbled across a piece of music that gives me the same satisfaction as truckers delight. Presenting: Axxe – S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. Night (Neon Workout Remix).
Remember that movie Weird Science? From 1985? You’re about to be in it.
