Sorry Digit moster, but you are completely wrong in what you are saying, as Daft Punk in there alive tour used live synths to create the music... Kayne raps live (poorly at times) in front of A-Trac and Fall Out Boy last time i checked didn't put on one of there own CD and then walk out on stage they actually play the stuff on instruments.

So that is what deadmau5 would need to fo to become a live act, even take it one set futher like digitalism or the presets and put a drum kit in there then that is a REAL live performance. (He might do this, i am certainly no Deadmau5 Expert)

for my 2 Cents, i don't think that either of these groups (or justice for that matter) are revoluntionary, they are more evolutionary, they have taken a genre to a different place. But neither of them have single handely turned it around like nirvana did to grunge in the early 90's and daft punk did to all types of dance (DJ) music in the late 90's. well thats my view anyway

so why would you even mention fall out boy right now that is completely random. plus they way they are saying they are comparing deadmau5 "revolutionary" style towards that of the other artists mentioned. to them he really is "just another dj". to answer that question way up there the beetroots aren't revolutionary they are just showing us a different side to electro music. no matter if you like them or not you have to give them props for having the ability to mix so many different genres together and still make it sound like a legitimate song. also, who doesn't play their own songs during live shows? are you dumb? they just tear that shit up and make it sound usually more amazing than the original. before you post something make sure it has some sense to it.

Deadmau5 "IS not JUST ANOTHER DJ". He' is a music artist. Just because he plays his own songs during his live shows does not make him a DJ. That is like saying Daft Punk were DJ's (even though they once were) during their Alive tour. Or saying like Kanye West or Fall Out Boy are DJ's because they play/sing their own music during their live shows.

In response to "meh". Have you heard all their music? If you're basing it upon a few tracks.. even 10 or so.. you have no clue. They ARE the real talent. Mau5 is also a great producer but i don't see how his productions completely separate themselves from other productions.

and the fact they wear masks isn't the reason for them being revolutionary what-so-ever. be more open-minded to them and you just might see what i do.

deadmau5. did not revolutionize dance music at all. he's really good. but revolutionized? i think were are throwing this word around a little haphazardly nowadays. deadmau5 has his obvious influences. hes mixing electro/dub/disco and comming out with some bangin stuff. Daft punk/ and ed banger revolutionized electro. They changed they way all those bedroom producers think. They changed the live show. deadmau5 IS JUST ANOTHER DJ. why do people build him up? what is deadmau5 doing that is sooooo different than countless other acts?

look to be honest i loved the bloody beetroots, having seen them live they were an amazing act and in some ways to the "music" scene they have been revolutionary and so have many other electro acts in the last few years. I unfortunately have not listened to the new album and have hunted relentlessly for it...a link would be awesome haha. However back on track the bloody beetroots have done alot for electro, but like most groups once they get popular people start to doubt what they did for music, and believe that because they've gone from their 'underground' myspace culture to one more accessible by others such as itunes etc, that for some reason all that revolutionary work is invalid. This will continue with majority of artists but in my opinion the beetroots have done a hell of alot for music in the last few years and im glad i get to enjoy some great beats.

whose "revolutionary" in the electro scene right now? I dont get where you are going with this...Deadmau5 did revolutionize dance music...ask anybody with any clout & history in the scene like Pete Tong or Erick Morillo...they all say it.

the acts that have been controlling the direction of electro over the past 3 years so far has been Bloody Beetroots, Crookers, and Justice/Ed Banger dudes. Each of them has their own distinct style that is being mainstreamed copied by TONS of new producers now..the ultra distortion electro, the fidget house, or the melodic-glitchy tunes

"ruined, or revolutionized the disco scene"

why when people wear masks they are labeled "revolutionary". They are good electro/house producers... thats it. There are so many other producers doing much more creative work right now. these guys need to stop getting too much hype. its getting almost as annoying as the "deadmau5" hype.

these are good producers. but save the revolutionary label for the real talent.
