Comments on: MSTRKRFT remixes Lil Wayne

I can understand why people diss “Fist of God”. “The Looks” was my intro to the modern electro scene and “Work on You” has been the standard by which I measure tracks of that genre.

I heard some of the tracks off of “Fist” and wanted to give it one finger. The Ghostface song is weak. Nore has no business on busy electro tracks.

However, I was watching “So You Think You Can Dance” recently and they used “Heartbreaker”. That song changed my mind about the album, but still it ain’t no “Looks”. It is probably the album’s best moment thanks to John Legend.

Disappointed is a word tossed around a lot in regards to their new album, I felt that way but I couldn’t just have FoG sitting in my track collection, I decided to give it a shot and let it play out a few times now I’m in love with it.

this track is garbage, im better off listening to some new jack shit! the fact that they brought this chick and wayne is horrible. what happened to the classic disco mstrkrft? but i do got to say mstrkrft do have some tracks on FIST OF GOD, that are pretty dope.

quick question for everyone, hopefully you guys can help me sort this out between me and a friend.

I totally feel you, there is definitely something missing in the track as a whole… but the lil waye verse is fire, so one you get there it’s all good.

The part with Keri Hilson’s vocals doesn’t sound very good. The Vocals don’t find a groove with music. The track sounds dope, but it seems to be pulled down a bit in the mix compared to her vocals. The Lil Wayne part is nice though. I think this Keri Hilson track wasn’t much to begin with. You can’t polish a turd. Where on the other hand the MSTRKRFT remix of Zero by the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s is just insane. They only use a very little piece of the vocal, and the track is awesome. It is mostly MSTRKRFT not the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I’m sure they were told to have all of Keri Hilson’s vocal in the track. It feels like some A&R or manager got too involved in the process. I didn’t know the name Keri Hilson until just now. I think that is what this track is supposed to accomplish.

I thought, Fist of God was pretty good. It was less disco than The Looks. I liked Fist of God, Click Click, and Word Up.
